Knowing what to purchase for your laboratory really depends on knowing how you intend to use the space and what your needs are. For example, in a high school setting, a sterile field is not necessary, so lab furniture doesn’t need to be as high quality. For medical students, however, real-world use is a concern, as they need to be prepared for all scenarios. Of course, once you get into the field, all safety precautions should be in place to eliminate liability. In this instance, the highest quality furniture, with stainless steel, is preferred. This allows for full disinfecting for doctor and patient safety.
